The #CoronationChampionsAwards, launched by @RoyalVoluntaryService, is all about celebrating the work of extraordinary people who make a difference in their community across the UK. A total of 500 volunteers have been selected as Coronation Champions and will receive an official Coronation Champions pin badge, a signed certificate from Their Majesties, and an invite to a Coronation Garden Party on the 3rd of May at Buckingham Palace.

Congratulations all and we hope you enjoy your celebrations!

Befriended is a charity born out of a desire and passion for making a difference in the lives of lonely, isolated older people living in Mid Sussex. We’ve been a registered Charity, since 2017, and offer a range of services include face to face befriending, care and residential home visits by our chaplaincy team, community events, monthly afternoon teas, bereavement courses, and Befriended Balance; a weekly exercise class for the over 65s.

Celebrate With Us

Join us on May 7th and celebrate the Coronation in style at our wonderful afternoon tea. As well as the usual homemade cakes and savoury delights we will have Stuarts famous quiz, lots of entertainment and even a momento for you to take home, and I am sure Gail will be so excited to share her experiences with us all!
